When Phil and Ann Ponce moved into their historic Northbrook, Illinois home, they discovered original 1940 landscape plans by Jens Jensen. He had designed the grounds in collaboration with the home’s first owners—photographer Helen Balfour Morrison and her husband, Robert. The house was a gathering place for artists, and a site of close creative collaboration between Morrison and modern dancer Sybil Shearer. Photographed for Chicago Magazine.
